Easter Escapism in North Cornwall
Spring adventures, sea air & seasonal treats await…
Easter in North Cornwall is something special. Hedgerows burst into bloom, cliff paths glow with wildflowers, and the coastline feels wonderfully alive again after winter. Best of all? It’s early enough in the season to enjoy it all before the summer crowds arrive.
If you’re joining us at Trenannick Farm Cottages this Easter, here are our hand-picked highlights to help you make the most of your stay.
🐣 Easter Trails & Garden Wanders
Spring and Easter egg hunts go hand in hand — and we’re spoiled for choice locally.
-
Pencarrow House and Gardens
Their much-loved annual Easter Trail (5th & 6th April) is perfect for families, and their Bluebell & Wild Garlic Sunday in early May is simply stunning. Expect sweeping lawns, ancient woodland, and carpets of spring colour. -
Lanhydrock House (National Trust)
Running from late March through mid-April, this Easter trail is beautifully organised, and the children’s play park is a huge hit. The gardens and estate are glorious in spring light. -
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Cornwall is the first place in the UK to feel spring — and Heligan proves it. Exotic blooms, ancient woodland, and winding paths make this an unforgettable seasonal visit.

🥾 Pack Your Pasties & Saffron Buns…
There’s no better time to lace up your walking boots.
-
Pentire Headland
Walk from Polzeath to The Rumps for a rewarding 2-hour round trip. In spring you’ll spot wildflowers clinging to the cliffs — and if you’re lucky, seals playing in the coves below. -
The “Rollercoaster Path” from Port Quinn to Port Isaac
A five-mile adventure of steep climbs and breathtaking views — perfect for seasoned walkers. -
Cornish Ramblings
At just £6 per adult (children and dogs go free), their self-guided walks are a brilliant way to discover hidden corners of the coast.
🚴 The Camel Trail Classic
Pedal or stroll along Cornwall’s most famous traffic-free route — the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow.
Following the estuary, it’s flat, scenic and full of birdlife — ideal for families, couples, and dog walkers alike. Stop for coffee and simply soak up those sweeping water views.
