If you're headed out for a day or a few hours, there's lots to do and see

Tucked away in the heart of the Tamar Valley, Trenannick Farm is the perfect spot for lovers of the great outdoors. Take hike through the rolling Cornish hills right on our doorstep or head a little further afield to discover the breathtaking beaches of North Cornwall. With heaps of fantastic attractions and things to do so close by, you won’t be short of wonderful ways to while away your days.

On the coast

Head to the North Cornwall coast for sun, sea and a lot of great beach fun

From the rugged cliff tops of Tintagel and Boscastle steeped in myth and legend to the epic surfing beaches of Bude, Crooklets and Widemouth, the North Cornish coast is really not to be missed. Delve deep into the folklore of King Arthur and his knights or while away a day on the beach rock pooling, paddling and throwing yourself into the waves, you won’t be sorry you made the journey north.

With the family

Trenannick is the perfect place to explore Cornwall from with your family

There really is something for everyone in North Cornwall – we’ve got active days, beach days, exploring the countryside days – you name it, you’ll be able to do it as a family within easy reach of our holiday cottages. We’ve included some of the best known places to visit in the local area, but we of course can’t include them all; so if it’s a fun filled stay your after you won’t be disappointed.

With your dog

Lots of walks, open countryside, beaches and dog-friendly places to enjoy

The beautiful Tamar Valley spans a huge 75 square miles which is great news for your four legged friends. They’ll love getting lost in the rolling hills, sprawling woods and world of brand new sniffs right outside your Trenannick front door. And of course there’s a dog friendly pub or two nearby for refreshment! Head a little further afield for some of Cornwall’s most picturesque South West Coast Path walks and dog friendly beaches to cool off.

Food and Drink

Lunch by the beach or dinner in the pub - Cornwall has got you covered

We’re very fortunate to have a number of great places to eat and drink in the local area. If you’re looking to stay close to your cottage then our nearest pub, The Wilsey Down, is renowned for its hearty Sunday carvery and good range of local ales. Trencreek Farmhouse is another favourite of ours – Richard and Margaret prepare home cooked fayre in their own farmhouse (booking a must to enjoy this).
